![]() With either damage or speed increase coming from the monsters, all maps and encounters are way different, some of the engagements turn into a deadly traps with nowhere to run. Remember that mapsets are mostly created around vanilla Doom gameplay, thus a lot of maps may be way harder with Brutal Doom or other mods, example is of course Schism. Levels are full of nasty ambushes, crowded areas where invisible pinkies can tore you down in seconds, even Cacodemons might suddenly appear behind you, chewing your ass. Sigma-X is a quite difficult demonstration WAD that has three levels, each one is harder than the previous one, even though the amount of monsters is not that high. Brutal Doom Schism or Rebalance, is a modded version of Brutal Doom v21, adding 3 different classes (UAC Marine, Paladin, Sorcerer), tons of new weapons and some monsters. BRUTAL DOOM Schism/Rebalance 0.92C mod together with Sigma-X by Guardsoul, 100% Secrets achieved but on Hey, Too Rough (Ultra Violence with increased damage).
